Brian and Teri Gronski
Brian and Teri Gronski, owners, bought The Pumpkin Place, when Brian’s parents retired in 2006. Brian, an engineer, stayed with his full-time position as they ran The Pumpkin Place while Teri worked toward becoming a Master Gardener. Meanwhile, they discovered a passion for organic vegetable production.

Lade Beach Road Location
The land search began and, after seven years, the Lade Beach Road location was found. It has been certified organic since 1985, the perfect fit. Brian and Teri took this as a sign and purchased it to start Groché Organic Farms, LLC. Brian began farming this location full-time in 2011. A portion of the land is rented to organic dairy farmers that sell their milk to Organic Valley.

Mission
Groché Organic Farms' mission is to provide organic produce to 300 area families and to educate and entertain thousands more through the farm.

Continuous Improvement
The Gronski’s are dedicated to continuing education and providing a learning experience for their farm employees. Brian and his employees attend conferences and workshops to gather and share knowledge. The farm serves as an incubator for employees to trial vegetable varieties and growing methods. There is also an opportunity to create mini-enterprises while using farm resources and land.

Family
Nourished by organic vegetables and Teri’s cooking, the Gronski family is growing! Their sons, Chris and Zach, often lend a helping hand on farm projects and planning. Daughter-in-law, Nyrie, and granddaughter, Emma, brighten everyone’s day when they visit the farm and corn maze.

Awesome Staff
Farm Manager, Chris Brodhagen, was hired as an intern in 2016. He is an active student and club member at NWTC in the Sustainable Agriculture program. While interning at Groché, Chris raised a flock of organic Freedom Ranger chickens. Chris brings a passion for preparing and eating fresh vegetables. His background in aquaponics will surely open new doors for the farm in future years.

New to the management team is Jessica Gibeault. She is a graduate of the NWTC Sustainable Agriculture program. Hired to assist with the 2016 Fall Corn Maze, she will be expanding agritainment opportunities for all to enjoy. As an intern at Sandy Brook Farm, she gathered grazing and permaculture experience. We are looking forward to exploring the benefits of grazing livestock on our land in years to come.
