Since 2011 Agrolog has been operating in the agricultural production market, established in Ashtarak. Our main activities were cold storing and processing of fresh food, in particular, fruits and rental of refrigeration areas. Then in 2015 we started the production of dried foods. We have produced about 5 tons of dried fruits annually with various quality grades: 1st, 2nd and highest quality. The production is prevailingly exported to several countries, among them Georgia, Russia and Kazakhstan. Small amounts have also been sent to Jordan and France as trial batches.

 

In 2016 we started enhancing our activities and our application to “Ecoglobe” LTD has been submitted for organic certification. The Organic Agriculture Support Initiative (OASI), a project funded by the European Union and co-funded and implemented by the Austrian Development Agency, and aiming at further developing organic agriculture in Armenia, awarded “AgroLog” CJSC a grant to finance the project of Establishment of an Educational and Production Center of Organic Food in Ashtarak. The aim of the project is to Support the farmers who are interested in organic agriculture by providing agroinputs, support for organic certification, organizing consultations, trainings and promotion of organic ideas and products, as well as ecotourism where the tourists would have an opportunity to take part in organic food production and processing at the only center in Armenia, and of course production, processing and preservation of organic foods such as apples, apricots, peaches, tomatoes, etc.

 

We also have a memorandum and all the organizations and individuals, signatory to the memorandum, are ready to cooperate within the framework of production, preservation and sales of Armenian fresh organic and processed fruits and vegetables. We are ready to share with each other information about the accumulated experience, innovations in the given field and the future joint markets. The Memorandum does not impose any financial obligations, it is open for all those, who want to engage in production, preservation, processing, certification and sales of Armenian fresh organic fruits and vegetables.
