WHY WE BUILD THIS PLACE?
The Balinese Farm Cooking School is a new attraction open in the early of 2014 and is operated by Pemulan Bali ( a small group in the village who care for organic and health food ). Most of the root spices and vegetables are planted by this group and the farmer around the village who is very passionate about farming. This program was start by a small thought seeing the local farmer very hard to sell their crops especially the naturally organic one since it is look not perfect compare the one with chemical pesticide and fertilizer. The farm area is surrounded by trees like, jack fruit, papaya, lime, coconut, banana, snakeskin fruit ( salak ), cocoa,… not to forget the vegetable garden with, lemon grass, chili, ginger, turmeric, lemon grass and more. a great opportunity for visitors to learn more about the ingredients while cooking our best Balinese meals!

WHY WE ARE DIFFERENT THAN OTHER COOKING SCHOOLS IN BALI?
we are the only Balinese cooking school who has its own growth farm. Only here you will see how fruit, vegetables and herbs grow. You will pick most of the ingredient freshly and at the same time learn those different ingredients.

We grow our farm organically, which means that you will have more healthy food if you cook with our organic ingredients.

Come and Visiting our farm its mean also that you will escape from the hustle bustle in the city for a day. You will enjoying to prepare you food while being in a natural environment. Further more you will have an opportunity to see the countryside where local people do their activities.

You will have to participate in the cooking process! We work as a team here just like what we do in local tradition in Bali. We have build our kitchen out of Bamboo and local wood. Our staff cleans the kitchen every day in order to maintain a hygienic standard.

Our Team is divided into our specialty, some of our staff is working in the tourism related business and some other is very passion in organic farming, The teacher Ketut and Made (and his local instructor team), is the man to teach you the right way to cook our Balinese food. Pass some years of Experience in Balinese cooking class in Ubud, Ketut and Made had to go and find substitutes for some Balinese ingredients. Get helpful ideas from us during class.
