Welcome to the North Dakota Organic website.
"Organic agriculture is working in partnership with nature to produce food. Organic agriculture is not new as many people might think, but is the original agriculture practiced by humans. While what is now called 'conventional agriculture' has been practiced for only a few decades, organic agriculture is as old as agriculture itself.
Organic agriculture is also new and changing as science and technology expand our knowledge of how nature works. This time-tested and yet innovative system of growing food is being practiced all over the world as well as in North Dakota.
Organic agriculture is one of the fastest growing sectors of food and fiber production and has experienced growth rates around 20% in recent years. Demand for many kinds of organic products exceeds the supply.
This site has been created to provide help and information for producers, consumers, industry and others interested in North Dakota Organic Agriculture. The North Dakota Organic Advisory Board hopes that you find this information useful."
