The Udegeskaya Legend National Park was established on June 09, 2007, and is located in the Krasnoarmeisky District of the Primorsky Territory of the Russian Federation. It includes a part of the basin of the Bolshaya Ussurka River in its middle reaches and the lower part of the Armu River , as well as the lower part of the river valley. Perevalnaya.

Among the tasks facing the national park are the preservation of the valley complex of the rivers of the western macroslope of the Sikhote-Alin, the creation of conditions for regulated ecological tourism, the introduction of environmental education, environmental education and scientific programs, and the involvement of the local population in environmental activities. The historical and archaeological value of the territory is also noteworthy - 28 archaeological monuments of various historical eras have been registered here , ranging from Stone Age sites to medieval settlements.

The total area of the national park according to forest management data is 103.744 thousand hectares . The boundaries of the habitats of many species of flora and fauna of the Ussuri taiga are located here. Mossy barrows, shrubs and elfin trees of mountain peaks, spruce-fir mountain slopes, cedar-deciduous forests of foothills, cedar forests and valley broad-leaved forests, shrubs and swamps and meadows of river floodplains determine a high degree of biodiversity.

The park is home to 31 species of rare and needing protection of vascular plants (yew, Japanese dioscorea, real ginseng, Pacific berry, tuberous calypso, etc.), 12 Red Book lichen species, about 70 bird species nest , including 9 rare and endangered species (eagle owl, mandarin duck, scaly merganser, black stork, etc.), there are over 25 species of mammals, including the Amur tiger and the Himalayan bear, and up to 10 thousand species of insects, including 28 rare and endangered species.

The administration of the institution is located in the village of Roshchino, the production base is in the village of Dalniy Kut.

The administrative center of the Krasnoarmeisky district - the village of Novopokrovka - is located 70 km from the park.

Geographically, the territory of the district is located between two regional centers - Vladivostok and Khabarovsk ( 520 and 440 km, respectively), with which it is connected by a highway. The nearest railway station, Dalnerechensk, is 144 kilometers from the park's borders. The Dalnerechensk - Roshchino highway ( 100 km ) has an asphalt surface, the Roshchino - Dalniy Kut highway is unpaved.
