O Botanista was created in 2018 by Catarina Gonçalves driven by ethics and the conviction that 100% vegetable food is the most creative, sustainable and healthy way to feed our body and soul. It was born from the deep love for plants. The kitchen's inspiration comes from the ingredients that come from the land. No artifices or masks. Here, gluten-free bread is produced, the pastry is gluten-free and sugar-free, and the menu is divided between an informal brunch or a more sophisticated dinner.
The space that welcomes the Botanist is reminiscent of a greenhouse that invites you to sit, look and admire the beauty of the plants in the space and on the dishes.
The restaurant was also created with the intention of being a laboratory of vegan food and way of life. Fermented cashew cheeses are produced and there is a growing kombucha production laboratory. Botanista's team is made up of elements whose training, ethics and experience contribute to the constant growth of the space as a restaurant and space for sharing and developing ideas.
